While you might think this is a new-age trend where we’ve all become suddenly obsessed with moon-soaked and energy-charged gemstones, this beauty ritual actually goes back to seventh-century China and ancient Egypt. Even Cleopatra was said to have turned to the skin-healing, energy-balancing properties of rose quartz, jade and amethyst.
Gemstones vibrate at a higher frequency than our bodies and release electrical charges (mild ones) that can boost circulation, calm puffiness, tiredness and keep us feeling good. Sounds good, right?
Even better, the new Nails Inc collection actually taps into this energy healing with two new products you’re going to want.
First, is Need A Wake Up Call, £12 – a de-puffing undereye jade roller. Remember the Crystal-Infused Rollerball Gloss? This one offers the same good vibes but for your eyes, rolling away signs of fatigue with a soothing jade stone. It’s basically an update of the traditional jade roller. It’s also way more handbag-friendly. The anti-inflammatory solution brings down puffiness and smooths that fragile skin around the eyes, leaving a lovely, subtle glow which helps minimise dark circles.
The other hero product in the Nails Inc spring/summer collection drop is Crystals Made Me Do It, £15. As you may have guessed by now, it’s made up of two crystal-infused nail polishes. Healing Feelings is a delicate shimmery pink that contains actual crushed rose quartz – the stone of love that restores trust and harmony and promotes self-love, friendship and feelings of peace. The other is the 45-second top coat that’s infused with amethyst crystals: the stress-busting, mood-balancing stone that helps dissolve negativity.
When we said you’re going to want it all, we weren’t lying.
