The Masked Singer: The identity of Rhino is revealed on The Masked Singer (and even Lindsay guessed correctly!) but did a Wikipedia entry give it away before the episode aired?

On Tuesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, the identity of the Rhino was revealed.

When the singer was unmasked, it turns out it was rugby player Wendell Sailor, 45.

But it seems some watching at home knew ahead of time who the mystery performer was, due to a rouge Wikipedia entry.

Several fans shared screen grabs of the official Wiki page for Wendell Sailor, which featured a surprising line.

At the end of the section detailing the footy player’s television career, it read: ‘He also appeared as Rhino on the Masked Singer for Channel 10 in Australia’.

While a number of fans shared the screenshots, the line was again missing from the official Wikipedia page shortly before the singer was revealed as Wendell Sailor.

It’s unclear if the entry was prematurely made by a member of Wendell’s PR team, or if it was simply a fan’s prediction that turned out to be correct.

Wendell was unmasked as the Rhino on Tuesday and the athlete said it was one of his more difficult career moves.

He said after his unmasking: ‘That was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Just out of your comfort zone. Like, I’d rather play an Origin or a Bledisloe or grand final.’

‘And also, I get claustrophobic, so this is more terrifying, coming out here, having to perform. Learning the song, learning to dance, obviously the crowd!’

He added: ‘I don’t think I can really sing. I just love music and I love people and I love testing myself!’
