The Confession Killer: first trailer for new Netflix true crime series

If you’ve already finished Making A Murderer, The Jinx, Evil Genius, The Ted Bundy Tapes and most of the other true crime series that Netflix has to offer, you don’t have long to wait before the next shocking retrospective arrives. The streaming service has taken a fresh bite out of the true crime apple, and will be offering up a new series to binge through in the early days of December!

The Confession Killer has been directed by Food, Inc. Oscar nominee Robert Kenner and Taki Oldham, and the five-part show explores the murky case of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, who confessed to 600+ murders, baffling police with an intricate web of lies in the process.

Here’s an official synopsis from Netflix:

During the early ’80s, Henry Lee Lucas confessed to hundreds of murders, bringing closure to unsolved cases and grieving families. Even with no direct evidence linking Lucas to the crime scenes, he stunned authorities with his ability to sketch victims’ portraits while citing brutal details of each attack. Yet journalists and attorneys found impossibilities in Lucas’ timeline, and DNA testing started to contradict his internationally-reported claims. THE CONFESSION KILLER, a riveting five-part docuseries, explores how the man once called America’s most prolific serial killer was really a complex figure entangled with a flawed justice system.

And here’s the trailer for The Confession Killer, which will be catnip to true crime series fans:

The Confession Killer will be streaming from 6th December on Netflix UK.
