The Chaser Mark Labbett, who is also known as The Beast, has reportedly broken up with his wife Katie after five years of marriage.
The couple’s separation has come after rumours emerged that Katie was secretly dating hunk Scott Bate, according to The Sun on Sunday.
It has been reported that Mark knew all along about the relationship and now his wife appears to want it all out in the open.
Revealing their reported split, Katie has spoken out to The Sun to “set the record straight”.
Describing what reportedly happened between the pair, she said: “Mark and I had been talking about separating for some time – we have been drifting apart for a while.
“He works away a lot and that’s been hard. A lot of people think it’s the age difference but we don’t see that as a factor.”
The blonde bombshell explained that it was more that they don’t have mutual friends and how very different their lives are.

Talking about her relationship with Scott, Katie declared that it all happened by accident and they instantly connected.
Opening up, the 26-year-old claimed The Chase star always knew about the pair, saying: “He knew I was going out and who I was seeing. He was incredibly understanding. If it was anybody else it wouldn’t matter, but because Mark’s in the limelight people have been gossiping.”
Continuing, she shared how glad she was that it was all out in the open, so they can all get on with their lives.

Explaining that the former couple are still good friends, she said that Mark was happy Katie had met Scott.
However, Mark himself is yet to comment on the subject.
Daily Star Online has contacted Mark’s reps, but they have declined to comment.
