But now only orders of £25 or less will be slapped with the £4 fee.

The UK’s biggest supermarket angered shopped back in February 2016 when it introduced a £2 fee for click and collect orders.

In 2017 Tesco upped costs again, meaning some shoppers paid up to £4 for a click and collect order.

But says it’s now rolling the £25 minimum threshold permanently after introducing it for a limited time only back in January

The new threshold will apply to over 300 click and collect order points nationwide, but there are some exclusions.

Firstly, the minimum spend will still be £40 in 27 areas around the UK that pick up click and collect orders from 11 specific Tesco stores.

Unfortunately Tesco wouldn’t tell us which areas or stores this affects so you’ll need to check before you place your order.

The £40 minimum basket order will also apply to all click and collect orders placed between December 18 and December 24 2019 – so get your Christmas shopping sorted early.

Click and collect is available for collection after 12pm if you order by 9am and for collection after 4pm if you order by 1pm Monday to Saturday.

You can’t get it on Sunday’s and delivery prices start from free depending on the two-hour collection slot you request.

When you collect your shopping, Tesco will help you load your groceries into your car and give you an electronic delivery note to sign, as well as a physical receipt.

Your groceries will be packed into bags with the cost added to your bill – unless you request a bagless order at checkout.

But if you do go bagless, be aware that bags will not be available at the collection point, so you’ll need to remember to bring your own.

Tesco and Co-op have been testing ROBOT deliveries that whizz groceries to your door in 15 minutes.

But one Tesco delivery driver was left embarrassed after accidentally telling a customer he LOVES her in a voicemail message.
