TERRY’S Chocolate Orange now does white chocolate mini eggs and you can buy them from Tesco.

It comes a year after the popular chocolate brand launched mini egg versions of the traditionally festive snack.

Bags of the white chocolate versions, which weigh 80g, have been spotted on shelves in Tesco for £1 – the same price as the milk chocolate versions.

Like the milk chocolate ones, the white chocolate balls are covered in a crunchy orange shell.

The treats were spotted by a bargain hunter and shared in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

Since being uploaded on December 30, the post has received more than two thousand likes and comments from fellow chocoholics.

Here’s how to cut the cost of your grocery shop

SAVING on your shop can make a big difference to your wallet. Here are some tips from Money.co.uk about how you can cut the cost of your shopping bills:

  • Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
  • Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
  • Never shop hungry – you are far more likely to buy  more food if your tummy is rumbling
  • Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
  • Use social media – follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
  • Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
  • Check the small print –  It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
  • Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards

One shopper went as far as to call the sweets a “game changer” while another said “I’ll be looking out for these”.

Sadly, they’re not available to buy online yet so you’ll need to head to your nearest Tesco if you want to get your hands on them.

We also don’t know the nutritional value of the chocs either but usually, white chocolate contains more calories than milk or dark chocolate.

We can’t say for sure how long they will be around for either but as egg-shaped chocolate is usually sold in the run up to Easter, we reckon it’s safe to say they’ll be around until at least Sunday April 4.

It appears that the treats are currently only available at Tesco but they could be rolled out to more shops closer to the time so it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled.

Christmas is barely over but supermarkets are already stocking their Easter chocolates.

Some eagle-eyed shoppers spotted the egg-shaped chocs on shelves as early as Christmas Eve, including retailers such as Morrisons and Iceland.

Last year, shoppers spotted Easter eggs and hot cross buns before the end of December.

In 2018, the festive favourites were even seen on shelves in November.
