Teaser Drops For Video Game Based on Marvel's 'Blade' – Horror News Network

“Relax, man. I don’t bite.”

Arkane Lyon (Deathloop) is developing a third-person horror video game based on Marvel’s half-human, half-vampire hybrid Blade. Check out the announcement teaser on this page.

Marvel Games creative director Bill Rosemann said the game is “in honor of Blade’s 50th anniversary,” adding that the company “has found the perfect match for the Daywalker in Arkane Lyon–a studio of artists who push the boundaries of game design and innovation.”

Arkane Lyon game director Dinga Bakaba said “the opportunity to put our spin on this character is a dream of mine. This is a challenge that our team embraces with a passion.”

No release window has yet been announced, but Marvel’s Blade reportedly will be set in a quarantined section of Paris in the midst of a supernatural emergency. It seems that vampires have emerged, “terrorizing the City of Lights and forcing residents to shelter inside their homes at night and wait for sunrise.”

The Marvel Comics Blade character–created by the legendary writer-artist team of Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan–debuted way back in 1973 in The Tomb of Dracula No. 10.
