Team Sonic Racing takes top of the charts

Sega’s Team Sonic Racing has debuted at No.1 in the weekly physical charts – a first for the blue hedgehog since Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games back in 2008, GfK said. The Switch version did particularly well with 39 per cent of the copies shifted going to Nintendo’s hybrid console, versus 40 per cent for PS4 and 21 per cent only for Xbox One.

Last week’s No.1, Bethesda’s Rage 2, settled for No.4 for its second week in the charts, with sales decreasing 73 per cent week-on-week.

A Plague Tale: Innocence, which debuted at No.9 last week, did quite well for its second week, falling to No.31 but with sales only decreasing 51 per cent week-on-week, which is really not too bad for a Week Two.

Days Gone remained steady at No.2 despite a 32 per cent drop in sales week-on-week, while FIFA 19 held on to No.3 with sales going down five per cent compared to last week.

Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered re-entered the charts at No.15 following the Switch release. The only other new entry in the charts was Everybody’s Golf VR, which debuted at No.22.
