From her Cats co-star Jennifer Hudson to fellow pop singer Nina Nesbitt, a number of stars revealed on social media that Swift had sent them a cozy cardigan to mark her surprise album.
Revealing that Swift inspired her to get into music, Nesbitt wrote: “thank you @taylorswift for this cozy gift and for being such a support on my last album.”
She continued: “I will forever be inspired by you! folklore is my favourite one yet please listen if you haven’t already. the lyrics are so beautiful and I love the new sound. p.s when I die please bury me in this cardigan lol.”
Hudson shared a series of photos on Instagram, writing: “Thank u @taylorswift for my comfy cardigan ! Some of yal might not know but I get cold really easy . So things like this keep me nice and warm , no matter the season ! But what keeps me warm the most is the SUN! #cardiganmusicvideo celebration of #folklore release ! Congrats !!!”
Swift’s long time BFF Abigail Anderson also shared a photo of herself wearing her new cardigan on Instagram, as well as an image of the note Swift provided with the garment.
“I hope this cardigan will keep you warm and cozy in these extremely un-cozy times,” Swift’s note reads.
“Sending you a socially distanced hug and all my love, taylor,” the card concludes.
In her caption, Anderson wrote: “Taylor. Swift. What an absolute wonder you are.
“Your lyrical ability to move us is seismic. Much like this beautiful gifted cardigan, this album is a dream. I’ve never been more appreciative of your art. This one did something to me.”
Singer Kelsea Ballerini wrote: “Thank you for the cardigan and the beautiful, intricate, mystical new album @taylorswift. your ability to create unbounded and ever growing music is the most inspiring.”
Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness shared an adorable picture of himself wearing his cardigan while cuddling his cat, writing: “Caturday in my @taylorswift cardigan”.
Adam Lambert, Loren Gray, Gracie Abrams, Hannah Hart and Kesha are among other celebrities who have received their own cardigans.
The song Cardigan is lifted from Swift’s new album Folklore, which she wrote during lockdown and surprise dropped last week.
Folklore is on track to be Taylor Swift’s fifth number one album in the UK.
