Featuring Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie, the sugary-sweet single is about as far away from her dark Reputation era as possible.
While Taylor may be embracing her new look with the bugglegum single, one thing that hasn’t changed is the subject matter.
Once again the 29-year-old sings about her love life.
“I know that I went psycho on the phone/ I never leave well enough alone,” Taylor croons.
She later adds: “Baby doll, when it comes to a lover/ I promise that you’ll never find another like.”
Chatting about the track on Good Morning America, Taylor said: “ME! is a song about embracing your individuality and really celebrating it, and owning it.

“I think that with a pop song, we have the ability to get a melody stuck in people’s heads, and I want it to be one that makes them feel better about themselves.”
In reference to her reincarnation, at the start of the ME! music video, a snake crawls towards the screen before exploding into a flutter of butterflies.
Taking to Twitter, many fans have linked ME’s self-care love-fest to be in reference to her two-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn.
Despite having a reputation for her string of failed romances with a host of A-list men including Harry Styles and Calvin Harris, it seems that Taylor may have finally found the one in Joe.

Unlike her frankly bizarre fling with Tom Hiddleston, which saw the Night Manger splash about in the sea in a “I heart TS” t-shirt as the world’s media watched on, Taylor and Joe have kept things as private as possible.
