Susanna Reid relationship: 'Let's not dwell' GMB host addresses split from Steve Parish

An insider told the Daily Mail Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 48, and Steve Parish, 53, struggled to make time for each other. They said: “It’s very sad, but they just couldn’t make it work. They both work extremely hard and there wasn’t enough time for romance.” A representative for Susanna told Express.co.uk: “Susanna and Steve made the mutual decision to split but they both do remain very good friends.” Susanna was quizzed about her relationship status by her co-star Piers Morgan, 53, on the ITV show today.

He asked her: “Are you single again? You are, aren’t you?”

Susanna replied: “Yep. Let’s not dwell. I’m fine, we’re fine, we’re very good friends. We were at the match on Saturday.”

The mother-of-three first started dating the Crystal Palace boss in August last year.

Back in January, she said the pair were very happy, but she wasn’t keen on the idea of tying the knot.

Susanna said on the show: “It’s not a secret, but it’s private. But I’m happy. Very happy. I’m having fun…

“I am very, very happy at the moment, but I don’t want to be married.

“No, no, no. I think the focus should be on the relationship.”

Susanna split from her long-term partner Dominic Cotton in 2014.

The pair were together for 16 years and share three sons together.

Last month, it was reported Dominic is now in a relationship with Susanna’s friend Gayle Harrison.

The Sun claimed Dominic and Gayle started dating just months after he left the family home he shared with Susanna.

The star previously spoke out on her relationship with Dominic following their split, telling Fabulous magazine they are still friends.

She said: “We still get on so well, Dom is still such a hands-on dad and we really co-parent.

“So we live separately but together and happily in the same house.

“I’m not saying everybody can do it and I definitely think people are surprised that we can do it this way.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
