‘I was half asleep’: Sunrise’s Edwina Bartholomew confirms that she ‘mistakenly posted an errant tweet’ about Nine reporter Seb Costello… with the network ‘considering legal action’
Sunrise’s Edwina Bartholomew has found herself in hot water over an alleged ‘disparaging tweet’ about Nine reporter Seb Costello.
At 9am on Saturday, the 36-year-old presenter ‘backhandedly praised’ Seb’s reporting on Twitter, according to The Herald Sun.
The Sunrise presenter, who is currently pregnant and reporting from London, has since confirmed she made the ‘errant tweet,’ with the publication reporting that Nine is ‘understood to be reviewing its legal options.’

‘I was half asleep and on the other side of the world. It was clearly a mistake and the errant tweet has been deleted,’ Edwina told the publication.
The tweet in question reportedly stayed up for 50 minutes before being deleted and was in response Nine News Melbourne post, which has also been deleted.
Nine News Melbourne had reportedly tweeted a video report by Seb about a man who tried to set himself on fire in front of the Victorian state parliament on Thursday.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Edwina, Seb, Seven and Nine for comment.
Currently on assignment in London, Edwina is six-months pregnant with her first child, having announced the baby joy in June.
She is expecting the baby with digital media executive Neil Varcoe, who she married in April 2018 at their restored farmhouse in Lithgow, New South Wales.

Meanwhile, Seb has been busy reporting for Nine News and also appears on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast show early on weekday mornings.
In January, he married his longtime partner Bree after years of dating and committed himself to ‘shredding for the wedding’ beforehand.
The 31-year-old had lost a third of his body fat after taking up a healthy lifestyle comprised of strict dieting and intensive training.
