Sugababes star hits back at ex-member’s mum in bitter feud after huge Mobo Awards win

A TOP Sugababes star has locked horns with a former bandmate’s mum in a bitter feud after the group’s epic Mobo Awards win.

The Overload hitmakers scooped the Impact Mobo Award earlier this month, with Mutya Buena, 38, Siobhan Doherty and Keisha Buchanan, both 39, on-hand to collect the gong.

The group has undergone various iterations and previously included Heidi Range, 40, and Amelle Berrabah, 39.

Yet it is the former vocalist’s mother, Karen, who appears to have sparked a spat with lead singer Mutya.

After the award ceremony, she commented on her daughter’s Instagram snap showing her posing in front of a wall of Sugababes records.

Not holding back, Karen wrote: “Yes Heidi all the songs you wrote and made hits you can’t rewrite history or the facts no matter how much you pretend.

“So very proud of you, mum.”

Not letting things lie, she then added: “I just can’t believe the cheek of it.

“Sugababes didn’t have a hit till Heidi joined six number one singles and multi platinum albums it is so false and disrespectful the way they are carrying on shame on them.”

Meanwhile Mutya, never one to be shy, told fans to “hold tight” as she issued her blunt reply.

Commenting underneath, she wrote: “I wasn’t gonna say nothing but f*** it, I will… now firstly I’m not here to hurt feelings but hold tight.

“When I wasn’t in the group and the girls was doing big things WITHOUT ME, do you think I was getting upset about not being mentioned?

This Morning viewers say Mutya Buena is unrecognisable as the Sugababes appear on show after reuniting

“Sooooo let’s just be nice and get over it, we all deserve our flowers but it was me Shiv, and Keisha on the stage accepting our award at MOBOS and YES WE DESERVED IT.

“I’m over people putting me and my ladies down.”

Heidi joined the Too Lost In You group in 2001 and spent a decade in the band.

Meanwhile Mutya, a founder Sugababes member with Siobhan and Keisha in 1998 left in 2005.

She re-joined the original line-up in 2012.

Recently, she looked unrecognisable in a plunging top as she attended the Wireless Festival.

She also revealed her “normal job” in a break from her pop career.

This isn’t Mutya’s first high-profile spat after the star previously slammed Kylie and J-Lo for their vocal talent.
