Strictly’s Dianne Buswell rushed to hospital after rehearsing ‘excessively’

The flame-haired bombshell has been working hard to rehearse for this Saturday’s live Strictly shows along with partner Dev Griffin.

But Dianne Buswell, 30, knows when to call it a day, especially after overworking herself so hard nine years ago.

In an interview with Happiful magazine, she said: “Sometimes I did three shows a day and I’d go to the gym.

“I was exercising excessively and cut out many meals. It got to the point where I had no physical energy.”

She went on: “Anxiety came with it because I didn’t feel well enough to perform and had to every night.”

Her condition worsened to a point where her periods stopped and she found it difficult to climb stairs.

Eventually, her mum hurried her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia by the doctors.

Requiring emergency treatment, she underwent an iron transfusion in a bid to restore her failing health.

She said: “I’ll never forget the moment I had the iron transfusion.

“I went home and went for a run. I felt alive again.”

Before adding: “I realised I’d put my career on the line and I never wanted to return to that state.”

The Aussie beauty – who is dating her former Strictly partner Joe Sugg – confessed the experience changed her approach to her body.

She added: “It’s all about who I am, not the way I look.”

The Strictly Come Dancing live shows start on Saturday at 8pm on BBC One.
