STRICTLY’S Chris Ramsey has already been plagued with injuries after hurting his back and pulling his groin.

The stand-up comedian is one of the famous faces gearing up to take to the dance floor for the first time tonight during the 2019 launch show.

Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing has been forced to withdraw from the series because of a foot injur, and speaking to The Sun Online, Chris, 33, revealed he has also been in the wars.

He said: “So I’m already injured…I’ve done my back in and I pulled my groin. So that’s good.

“How did I pull me groin? Being a lazy comedian who sat on a train for three hours this morning!”

It isn’t the first mishap he’s had on the dance floor, as he admitted he’d also been a bit over-eager while dancing with his wife Rosie at a wedding recently.

Asked if Rosie, who has a dance background, could help him practice lifts at home between training sessions with his professional partner, Chris replied: “Yeah, I could do that. Well, we did it at a wedding just before I got announced, and I dropped her on her back.

“Flat on her back in the middle of a wedding. She tried to do a backdrop, and we do one in the first number!, but she literally banged her head off the floor.

“Everyone at the wedding was like “what the hell’s got into these two?” We were monopolising the wedding.”

Chris also admitted Rosie is going to be the fifth judge for him alongside the show’s panel thanks to her dance experience.

He said: “It just occurred to me the other day, I’m at a disadvantage because I get judged by the judges on the night and then I’ll get a phone call off her going ‘well I was watching, and your face was a disgrace!’

“I [screw my face up] when I dance! She literally said to us the other day ‘sort your face out’.

“That’s my wife’s pointer for us. I’m dreading getting judged by her as well.

“I might even invest in some paddles when I walk through the door.”
