Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas is filming a new documentary discussing breast implant illness after having her own removed after 17 years.

The TV judge went under the knife last year to remove her breast implants after fearing that having them could prevent doctors noticing cancerous growths.

Now, according to The Sun, she is filming more about the complications that come from having breast implants.

‘Although it’s been difficult for Shirley, she hopes sharing her experiences might inform women who are either considering having breast implants, or already have them,’ an insider said.

The pro dancer spoke about her breast enlargement, going from a 32B to 34DD in 2002, in an attempt to spice up her marriage to husband at the time, Corky Ballas.

Shirley had already been documenting her surgery and recovery last year on social media, telling fans in October she’d finally had them removed after making the decision in September.

She had decided to remove her implants and embrace her natural figure, after discovering a potentially dangerous capsule had grown unexpectedly, causing her ‘anxiety’.

She was worrying further as there is a risk of cancer in her family, with both her mum and aunt being previously diagnosed.

However, despite doctor’s orders for her to take time off Strictly in order to heal, she was back on the live shows that Saturday.

It is not known who the documentary will be made for, or when it will air.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Shirley for further comment.

Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.
