Stephanie March teases all-female project The Social Ones and possible return to SVU on DailyMailTV

Law and Order star Stephanie March stepped behind the camera for her new all-women created flick.

The blonde beauty sat down with DailyMailTV host Jesse Palmer to talk about The Social Ones, a mockumentary style film that pokes fun at the beast that is social media.

Serving as the executive producer for the movie, the 44-year-old laughed about spoofing the current over-the-top influencer culture.

‘I would describe it as if we are completely flattering ourselves, a mockumentary a la Christopher Guest, of social media influencers,’ Stephanie said.

A laugh-inducing clip of the film shows social trolls hard at work in a dark room … dressed as actual trolls.

The film stars comedy vets Richard Kid, Jackie Hoffman, Debra Jo Rupp and Peter Scolari, as well as March, who pulls double duty both behind the camera and in front.

March marveled at the talent she had amassed for the film.

‘I couldn’t believe I was technically the boss of those people,’ she explained, ‘That’s just ridiculous.’

‘Some of the most professional and talented people in our industry. It was, I mean it was an honor.’

The Social Ones centers around characters Ava and Mia Archer who are the founders of The National Influencer which pulls back the curtain on the lives of quirky social icons and hilarity ensues.

Aside from providing a social commentary on the cultural reliance and obsession with likes, shares and selfies, March’s all-female production is a cultural statement in and of itself.

‘It’s entirely written, directed and produced by females,’ the actress proudly told Jesse Palmer.

Adding: ‘Our crew was largely female, not entirely, not entirely but largely.’

The male dominated industry of film and television is starting to see a marked shift in the last few years, particularly in a post Time’s Up and #MeToo world.

‘A lot of people commented that a female run set runs very smoothly,’ Stephanie shared with a smile.

‘We started at eight, wrapped at four every day on time, no drama, smooth and clean.’
