Stars bring magic of panto to life in socially-distanced version of Cinderella

Fairy Godmother Gloria Hunniford, 80, narrates the star-studded story of a celebrity Christmas for the festive issue of Best. Unable to attend any red carpet events, the magazine’s writer Dani Southwood is our down-on-her luck heroine who is aided by chef Theo Michaels as Buttons to ensure she can go to Prince Charming’s garden party.

Former Page 3 Girl Linda Lusardi, 62, is the Wicked Queen out to stop her, accompanied by ugly step sisters – Boyzone star Ben ‘Lady Anastasia’ Ofoedu and Christopher ‘Lady Drusilla’ Biggins.

Linda’s real-life hubby, former Brookside actor Sam Kane, is the prince who throws the garden party while the kindly father of our heroine, Eamonn Holmes, is away on important business.

But with things looking in peril, along comes the Fairy Godmother in the form of Daily Express columnist Vanessa Feltz.

We will not give away the ending but suffice to say they all live happily ever after – well, as happily as Covid will allow.

The best garden panto of 2020 features in the latest issue of Best magazine, out now
