Stacey Solomon and partner Joe Swash welcomed their first child together in June and now the couple have opened up about the months that followed. The Loose Women panelist interviewed the former EastEnders star on her podcast, Here We Go Again.
The 30-year-old heard how the actor, 37, used to go out into the garden to “b****” about her to her mother following her difficult time that came after her third child was born.
Joe spoke frankly to his girlfriend in the lengthy recording, revealing how he and her mum “got through” it.
Stacey recounted her struggle with labour, her desperate attempts to breastfeed and the traumatic experience she felt through wanting to keep her newborn safe.
This led her to be overly protective of Rex, seven months, even struggling to let his famous father near him.

“I struggled in silence,” the soap favourite started. “Me and your mum, we b****ed about you so much in the garden.”
Laughing, Stacey told him: “Oh! Cheers!” but thankfully appeared not to take the news to heart.
“I swear to God, mate,” he continued. “Your mum is great for, you know… it’s difficult because…”
Interrupting, she playfully quipped: “She’s great for a good old moan about me.”
It was then that Joe opened up about how it all came about, saying: “I go to my mum and I moan about you to my mum, then obviously my mum’s my mum – she’s going to get her back up about you so you can’t do that.
“But with your mum, it’s the truth. If I’m out of order, your mum’ll say it. If you’re out of order, she’ll pull you up as well.”
Recalling their heart-to-hearts, he said: “Sometimes we went out there and we’d say… but that’s how we got through it.
“We were both trying to make it comfortable for you, and you weren’t happy. So when you lashed out, we just thought, let her do it – it’s nothing personal, it’s just because she’s going through a really hard time.”

Thankfully Stacey admitted she realised what she was doing was “counter productive” in a “pivotal point”.
She added: “[I was] just becoming obsessive. I think it was when you [Joe] came downstairs and you’d put deodorant on, I was like, ‘I can smell your deodorant from here,’ and I was about three metres away.
“‘You’re not going near the baby, it is too strong a smell’. I remember just looking inside myself and thinking, why am I doing this? Why am I saying this? “
Stacey is also mum to Zachary, 11, and Leighton, seven, from previous relationships, while Joe is father to Harry, 12, with an ex partner.
