Stacey Solomon has returned to social media after getting a series of ‘increasingly hostile messages’.

On Tuesday the Loose Women star joined the list of celebrities who have been speaking about the Israel-Palestine crisis.

Stacey, 30, shared that she has been ‘hesitant’ to speak about the ongoing conflict but she will ‘pray for peace’.

As she came to the end of her lengthy message, posted on her Instagram Stories, she said she only uses her social media to spread positive messages and wants to ‘do what I can outside of the public eye’.

The mum-of-three wrote: ‘I understand that so many people are in pain and hurting from the horrendous situation between Israel and Palestine, myself included. Some of the messages in my inbox suggest that some may feel people of a religion are “responsible” but please believe me when I say that is not the case.

‘First and foremost I can not express enough that I wholeheartedly stand against violence and the killing of innocent people no matter what their race, religion or differences. There is NO place in this world and NO justification for the pain and suffering innocent people are being subjected to.

‘There are some kind questions in my inbox around the issues but a lot are not that way. They are increasingly hostile.

‘It makes me hesitant to speak about it because, I feel, no matter what I say it could create hostility between two peaceful religious communities who stand for the same thing – humanity. Because of my religion. Anything I say or don’t say may be misconstrued and/or hurt people. Potentially causing bigger divides which is the opposite of what anyone would want to achieve.

‘This does not mean I don’t do what I can to support, where I can, people suffering in these horrendous situations. It does not mean that I don’t care or don’t know what is going on. This isn’t a recent issue sadly it’s been going on for far too long. And often feels so hopeless. It’s so sad and upsetting to watch.

‘It’s just incomprehensible to know there are many other situations like this around the world right now which is just unfathomable and unacceptable. It is all just so horrifically sad. I will continue to support where I can, and do what I can outside of the public eye because doing it on here or any other platform only appears to incite more hate and divisions.

‘All I ever want to do on here is spread kindness and positivity. Not one part of me wants to create any kind of hostility towards another human being. I pray for peace and that the suffering of so many beings ends.’
