THE Spice Girls reunion will still go ahead — despite Geri Horner’s fury with Mel B over claims they had sex.
Ginger Spice, 46, said Scary “needs to keep her mouth shut”, but will not back out of the tour for the sake of fans.
Mel, 46, messaged bandmates Geri, Melanie C, 45, and 43-year-old Emma Bunton after telling TV’s Piers Morgan that the pair got intimate during the group’s early days — but failed to apologise.
She was pictured landing back in Los Angeles late on Saturday with daughter Phoenix, 20, following her interview in London on Friday.
A source close to Geri said: “This is typical Mel, running her mouth, but Geri is more than a bit miffed.
“Mel messaged the girls to tell them about what she had said after filming the interview, but she didn’t even say sorry. She needs to do some serious grovelling to make up with Geri. This isn’t something she’s going to forget easily.
“Mel insists it’s true, but Geri says she’s blown it out of all proportion and needs to keep her mouth shut.
“It’s not ideal as rehearsals for the tour begin within weeks and they are going to be spending a lot of time together.
“It’s not going to derail the reunion and they’re all still excited about going back out on the road together, but it’s done damage to their personal friendship.”
The group will begin rehearsals next month for their 13-date tour — their first without Victoria Beckham, 44 — which kicks off at Dublin’s Croke Park on May 24.
During the interview for Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, to be broadcast this summer on ITV, Mel said: “It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it.”
Discussing how Geri and her husband, Formula 1 mogul Christian Horner, 45, might react to the revelation, Mel said: “She’s going to kill me and so’s her husband.”
