Shopper blasts woman who publicly shamed a frazzled mum and her naughty son in the supermarket

AS any parent will know, navigating around the supermarket with kids can be tough.

And one mum-of-six – who knows how tricky family shopping trips can be – has penned a letter to a fellow parent who she claims “betrayed the mum code” with a hurtful comment.

Krechelle Carter – who runs the blog Eight at Home – took to Facebook, explaining she had witnessed fellow parents struggling in the supermarket with their young son.

The 27-year-old mum from Australia – who has six children under the age of six – explained she was fuming when she saw the parents being shamed by another mum.

“I heard what you said and I wish I had told you right to your face that you my dear are the problem with the world right now,” she wrote.

“What I really wanted to say at the shops the other day… it’s been eating me up inside ever since.

“I was trying to make a trolley stay put while I tried to find my wallet in my bag while I had two kids in their seats trying like it was an Olympic sport to get out of the trolley.

“Literally clinging to my face and hair and trying to wiggle out of those sash belts.

“And across the way, I hear the familiar fake screaming of a child about three or four who did not want to be buckled back in his pram.

“Doing one of those backbends – you know the ones. Like you’re scared you’ll break their spine contorting them back in.

“The cling-to-the-edges, I’m-not-putting-my-a**-in-the-pram type contorting.

“And this child was screaming so loud that naturally, people were staring – most good quality people gave an awkward smile or ‘you’re doing alright, he’s acting like an a**hole’ nod as they walked on by.”

Krechelle explained that the boy’s parents were doing their best, when a fellow mum weighed in on the situation.

“His parents were sternly but quietly trying to contain his octopus limbs and put them into the pram without hurting him, without losing their s***,” she continued.

“There was sweating and grunting and shaking of heads.

“They were doing well they almost had it.

“And that’s when I heard it…a mum said to her eight-year-old daughter quite loudly ‘well clearly that child gets everything he wants and has never been taught a thing In his life’.”

“How f*****g dare she,” she continued.

“We’re meant to be part of the club.

“The mums club.

“And she had betrayed that club and not only had she shamed that mum, she was teaching her daughter that judging people out loud, making people feel bad about a split second of their life was okay.

“… We wonder why we’re so stressed and anxious and don’t want to go out of the house.

“And then we’ve got women like that, publicly mum and dad shaming a couple, who seemed like very nice people trying to put their little demon child into his pram.

“… All I’m asking for is a little Solidarity sisters.”

Since Krechelle shared her thoughts on Facebook, other parents have been posting comments of support, with one explaining she is often subjected to “stares and comments” regarding her son who is autistic.

“I feel like making a shirt that says, ‘I have autism please don’t judge me’,” she wrote.

“The amount of stares and comments I get regarding my 7 year old. So sad!”

While another agreed: “Oh my goodness I couldn’t agree more!! That poor mum, we could do so much more helping each other instead of trying to pull each other down.”

Earlier this week, we told you about one mum’s strict 17-rule contract for her son, 12, having a phone, which includes ‘no messages before 7.30am’ and ‘ALWAYS answering your parents’.

We also revealed mum finds naked photo of her ‘big-chested’ sister on her HUSBAND’S computer but he ‘swears he’s been hacked’.

And we showed you the breastfeeding brides whose powerful images prove mums NEVER get a day off.
