Shay Mitchell has hit back at mum-shamers over partying with Drake (Picture: WireImage)

Shay Mitchell has absolutely no time for mum-shamers, after welcoming her first child with boyfriend Matte Babel.

The Pretty Little Liars star came under fire for heading to Drake’s birthday party on 23 October at the swanky Goya Studios in Hollywood, three days after she announced the arrival of her little one.

However, the 32-year-old hit back at all the backlash, reminding everyone that just because she shared her happy news on that day, it doesn’t mean that is when she gave birth.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a video showing her scrolling through comments with her 26.2 million followers.

‘I haven’t been really checking my comments that often, but apparently people are really upset that I left three days after having a kid to go out and party,’ she could be heard telling the camera.

‘It wasn’t three days and I left her with [my dog] Angel, so…’

One of the comments Shay received read: ‘This girl really left her 3-day-old baby to go to a party. Mum of the year,’ alongside a string of cry-laughing emojis.

‘Wait. So you literally just had her and you’re more worried about clubbing with Drake? Wooow,’ another read.

Well, if it’s a toss-up between a crying baby and Drake…

Fans rushed to defend the new mum over the trolling, with a fan tweeting: ‘You going out for a few hours doesn’t hurt the baby right, I’m sure she left her child in capable hands.

‘New mothers don’t have to stay locked in their home 24/7 to bond with the baby.’

To which the Emily Fields actress replied: ‘Yeah EXACTLY – I left her with Angel and put water out for both of them :).’

We are absolutely not worthy of Shay Mitchell.

The star recently made headlines after sharing an intense YouTube video, detailing her gruelling 33-hour labour.

And she revealed her fears for her little one – whose name has yet to be announced – as she couldn’t feel the baby moving much before her birth.

‘The last time I felt pain like this was not a good experience,’ she told viewers.

‘I feel a little worried because I haven’t felt the baby move lately.’

Thankfully, it all went well with the happy couple sharing the first photo of their baby girl just last week.
