Surveillance footage from 2016 has been revealed to show Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

The video, obtained by CNN, shows the rapper, 54, kicking, dragging and throwing an object at his ex-partner.

This comes months after he was accused of raping and physically abusing his ex over a period of ten years.

The lawsuit, which was filed in November, contains a trigger warning on the front due to the extreme nature of the allegations, and included claims of him ‘beating her, plying her with drugs and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes as Combs filmed’.

It was also been claimed that Ventura, who was 19 when she met Combs, was raped ‘in her own home after she tried to leave him’ and ‘endured over a decade of his violent behaviour and disturbed demands’.

She later said: ‘I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.’

Footage has now been released showing Combs physically assaulting Ventura, as he grabs, shoves, drags and kicks her in a hotel.

It includes multiple camera angles from March 5, 2016, and appears to show the then-couple at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

In the video, Ventura leaves a hotel room and goes towards the elevators, where Combs follows her, wearing a towel around his waist.

He then grabs her and throws her to the floor, before kicking her, grabbing her purse and bag from the floor by the elevators, and then kicking her again as she lies there, before she puts her hand where he kicked her on her leg.

The publication notes that, according to the video, four seconds transpire between the two kicks.

Combs is then seen dragging Ventura by her sweatshirt back towards their hotel room.

It is then shown that Ventura returns to the elevator area where she picks up a hotel phone, before Combs follows her back, and shoves her in a corner.

Moments later, he throws something taken from the table in the area towards her.

The incident is noted in the lawsuit, where it is claimed Combs was ‘extremely intoxicated and punched Ms Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye,’ and that the object he threw was a glass vase.

In the lawsuit, Ventura claimed Combs was incredibly controlling, not only over her career, but also over personal details including medical records, and alleged claims that she had an MRI scan for memory loss that she claims may have been caused by a ‘beating’ Combs gave her and that the results went straight to him.

The lawsuit stated Ventura has required ‘intensive medical and psychological care to recover from the trauma she lived through’ and is seeking justice for a decade of ‘threats of violence, excessive use of drugs, physical and psychological abuse, and sexual slavery’.

At the time of the lawsuit, Combs’ lawyer told Metro.co.uk: ‘Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.

‘For the past 6 months, Mr. Combs, has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.

‘Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seeking a pay day.’

In response to the statement, Ventura’s lawyer stated to PA News Agency that Combs ‘offered Ms Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit.’

He said: ‘She rejected his efforts and decided to give a voice to all woman who suffer in silence. Ms Ventura should be applauded for her bravery.’

Her lawyer added that Ventura’s ‘ability and willingness to speak up against the abuse she suffered’ is a ‘testament to her strength and resilience’.

‘No human should have to endure what Ms Ventura has endured,’ he added.

Following the initial lawsuit by Ventura, more were filed.

The second accused him of drugging and date raping a college student – before sharing a ‘revenge porn’-style video of the alleged abuse.

A third accused him of rape and assault, with Combs accused of ‘assaulting and choking’ an anonymous woman ‘to the point that she passed out’.

And a fourth lawsuit saw him accused of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl.

His representatives have slammed all the sexual assault allegations when previously approached.

Metro.co.uk has approached Combs’ reps for comment.
