Scots wanted to star in TV show Hunted as bosses announce sixth series

Scots are wanted to star in hit show, Hunted, as TV chiefs announce a sixth series.

Channel 4 bosses launched the appeal for new contestants just one week before the first episode of series five airs on TV.

The challenge-based show sees people go on the run for around four weeks across the UK.

They are set loose with a rucksack of essential items, a debit card and a small amount of money.

‘Hunters’ are drafted in to find the contestants using CCTV and phone records among other tricks to track them down.

A £100,000 prize is up for grabs, which is either split among all the contestants if they each complete the challenge, or if only one person wins, they take home the lot.

A statement on Channel 4’s website: “HUNTED, Channel 4’s hit series, is currently accepting applications for its SIXTH series.

“We’re looking for ordinary people to go on the run and try to disappear in one of the most watched nations on Earth.

“If you had to disappear tomorrow, for whatever reason – with some of the world’s best investigators looking for you, and some of the most cutting edge technology tracking you, could you just vanish?”
