Sam Fender shares new track ‘All Is On My Side’ after fans campaign for its release

Sam Fender has debuted the studio version of ‘All Is On My Side’ after fans campaigned for the track’s release.

The song has already established itself as a fan favourite after becoming a mainstay of the Newcastle singer’s live shows, but this release marks the first time that a recorded version has seen the light of day.

This is one of the oldest songs I have, it didn’t make the album. I’ve played it for 5 years and wrote it when I was a baby,” Fender wrote on Twitter.

He added in an official release: “‘All Is On My Side’ is a real live favourite for me. It’s been a mainstay in the set for a couple of years now and it’s nice to release this as a bit of a thank you to all the fans at the end of the year.”

The track’s release comes mid-way through Fender’s sold-out UK tour, which sees him beginning a two-night stint at O2 Academy Brixton tonight (December 10).

Upon release in September, Fender’s debut album ‘Hypersonic Missiles‘ become both the second fastest-selling UK debut of the year and the fastest-selling vinyl LP by a debuting artist since the Official Charts began.

“‘Hypersonic Missiles’ mostly hits the notes he longs to convey: it’s by turns euphoric and melancholy, self-deprecating and righteous, untethered and claustrophobic,” NME‘s four-star review of the record stated.

“There are no easy answers here, but Sam Fender’s asking the right questions.”

He’ll also hit the road next year for his first ever UK arena tour, including dates at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena and two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace.
