Sadio Mane was left fuming after Mohamed Salah refused the opportunity to set him up for what would have been a simple goal against Burnley.
The Senegal international had set Jurgen Klopp’s side on their way to a club record 13th straight win with a typically well taken first half goal, shortly after Chris Wood’s unfortunate own goal had broken the deadlock.
Roberto Firmino, teed up by Salah, wrapped up the points 10 minutes from the end when his low drive from the edge of the penalty area comfortably beat Nick Pope.
Liverpool had the opportunity to put an extra cherry on top of the cake moments later when Salah tricked his way into the box but, instead of sliding a simple pass into Mane, tried to beat the last defender but was robbed of possession, much to the annoyance of his teammate.
Mane was withdrawn moments later, along with Firmino, and the former Southampton forward was clearly annoyed by Salah’s apparent selfishness.
Jurgen Klopp attempted to calm the 27-year-old but to no avail, who took his place on the bench where he continued to remonstrate with his teammates before he was calmed down by a combination of Joe Gomez and Firmino.
It was a sour note on which to end a record breaking evening, but Liverpool fans clearly through Mane was right to be annoyed by Salah’s greed…

Mane so right at being absolutely pissed off at Salah, Klopp taking him off for no reason but leaving Mo on. Ridiculous

Mane’s reaction will change Salah. It was necessary IMO.
