Ruth Langsford appeared on Strictly Come Dancing 2019 spin-off It Takes Two last night, when she revealed her grievances with the judges. The This Morning host said she was “disappointed” at panellists Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse. The 59-year-old claimed Anton du Beke and partner Emma Barton deserved more after their performance last weekend. The professional dancer, who was partnered with the presenter in 2017, and actress achieved 26 points, four places from the bottom of the leaderboard.
When asked about them by host and pal Rylan Clark-Neal yesterday, Ruth quipped: “Very jealous [of their partnership]. I’m very jealous.”
“I bet you are,” the 31-year-old responded. “Ooo she gets jealous, this one. They’re going to be doing the Tango. How do you think they’ll do this week?”
Anton, 53, and Emma, 42, will take on the new routine for Halloween Week to Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach.
“Oh, great dance!” Ruth replied. “Oh they will be fabulous – I think she’s fabulous.”
But, the mother-of-one went on: “I was really disappointed with the judges’ comments last week.
“I thought she looked amazing, I thought she acted out and I thought they looked stunning.”
Ruth added: “The fact that Anton was disappointed himself with the marks… he said, ‘I know when my partner’s done a good dance’.”
“Never happened with me… but… it didn’t,” she stated, as the audience laughed. “Bless him, love him as I do.”
The ITV favourite was eliminated seventh, after facing Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse in the dance-off.
But things look good for the Strictly legend and EastEnders’ Honey Mitchell in bookmakers’ odds.
They are tipped at 100-1 to get the boot on Sunday, with BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell looking most likely to go on 4-6.
“Mike survived the dance-off last weekend on the show but the betting suggests he is not going to have the same fortune following the Halloween round,” a Coral spokesperson told Express.co.uk.
“Although Kelvin [Fletcher] remains the warm favourite in the outright betting, we continue to see a flurry of bets for Karim [Zeroual] to go all the way.”
Kelvin is evens to lift the Glitterball in December with his CBBC presenter rival on 5-2, and Emma just behind with 5-1.
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues tonight at 6.35pm on BBC One, while It Takes Two returns Monday at 6.15pm on BBC Two.
