Royal expert on This Morning gets 'death threats' over Meghan Markle comments

A royal expert has today revealed how she received multiple death threats over her coverage and comments on Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.

Telegraph columnist Camilla Tominey is a regular guest on the ITV1 daytime show This Morning alongside popular duo Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.

Birmingham Live reports that the royal correspondent shared an email that she had been sent from a troll after appearing on the show.

The contents of the email reads: “Hate your three kids. They should not be breathing. They must die!

“We are watching you and yours. That nasty husband of yours cannot watch them all the time you know.

“We know where to get you all.”

Camilla says the email was sent after her appearance on This Morning this week.

The royal expert appeared opposite Holly, 40, to discuss Meghan Markle’s first book.

The Duchess of Sussex has released a kids’ book The Bench.

And to coincide with its release, Ms Tominey gave her thoughts to Holly and Phillip Schofield.

The death threat e-mail she received added: “We don’t lie, we act. We love to [knife emojis] you will be a pleasure to kill.”

Camilla wrote on Twitter : “We must call out online hate when we see it, which is why I am posting this death threat, sent to my website this morning in the name of #HarryandMeghan ‘fandom’.

“Never be cowed by these abject hypocrites. Fight for the right to disagree agreeably #stoponlinehate.

“I don’t want your sympathy- I just want your support in saying this is wrong and will not be tolerated. Thank you.”

This Morning continues to air each Monday to Friday morning on ITV1 from 10am.
