Being stuck at home for a long period of time can get monotonous after a while, and boredom can quickly set in.
If you have powered through all the best Netflix shows and grown tired of scrolling through Instagram, Royal Albert Hall is offering a new form of entertainment in the form of live concerts.
What events will be screened?
Despite being forced to close last month – its first official closure since the Second World War – in response to the national lockdown, the Royal Albert Hall is still keen to keep people entertained.
While on temporary hiatus, the venue will be streaming concerts for free so that people can continue to enjoy music from the comfort of their homes.
The digital initiative, called #RoyalAlbertHome will include a programme of free, nightly live gigs from a variety of different artists.
The first of the concerts will be streamed on Thursday (9 April) from the home of singer-songwriter, Rufus Wainwright.
The gig will last around 30 minutes, and Wainwright may take a few requests from the watching audience.

Will anything else be live streamed?
As well as the music programme, the Royal Albert Hall also plans to revive some of its cancelled shows.
The Brassed Off event will now be streamed on 15 April, featuring some exclusive content ahead of the popular film being broadcast on Film4.
Its ‘Sea Shambles’ event will also instead be featured online on 17 May, with screen appearances from comedian Robin Ince, oceanographer Dr Helen Czerski and wildlife presenter Steve Backshall.

The first of the live stream concerts will be launched on Thursday (9 Apr) at 8.15pm.
More than 10 live streams are currently listed, running until mid-May.
