Roy Keane tells Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make Harry Kane signing to solve Man Utd problems

Roy Keane believes that Manchester United should go and sign Harry Kane.

The comment was made in the wake of the club’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool, after Adam Lallana snatched a point late on for the visitors.

While Graeme Souness and Gary Neville argued about whether it was right to sell Romelu Lukaku, Keane issued a simple response.

When asked what United are lacking, he referenced that a goal threat would really improve the side’s fortunes.

“Just go and get Kane from Spurs,” he said in the Sky Sports studio.

“It’s simple.”

Kane is currently tied down until 2024 at Tottenham but with Spurs currently stuck in a rut, there is a serious danger of them missing out on Champions League football.

Marcus Rashford has been United’s only fit and available striker in recent weeks and he impressed against Liverpool, netting the opener from Daniel James’ cross.

The England international has received his fair share of criticism for his inconsistency, but he capped a good week for him personally at Old Trafford after finding the net for his country against Bulgaria.

Neville claimed that the international break has done Rashford good and he’s now feeling refreshed.

“I thought he looked beat two weeks ago,” Neville said.

“I felt he needed to come out of the team.

“The international break has done him good. He looked like himself.

“He’s still young. Players have to develop. United have to make a decision – they have to buy but not necessarily at the expense of Marcus Rashford. Of course he needs help.”

The result means United sit in 13th, while Liverpool’s gap at the top of the table has been reduced to six points.
