Roxy Jacenko has fiery clash with a Sydney man after she busted him stealing from her

Sydney PR mogul Roxy Jacenko shared footage of a Sydney man stealing two expensive plants from outside her Sweaty Betty PR office in Sydney on Friday.

When a successful ID was made from the CCTV video, Roxy chose to confront the man at his workplace to demand her stolen fiddle leaf fig trees be returned.

The 39-year-old came face-to-face with the thief during his shift at a local thrift shop, becoming fiery as she expressed her anger at the $900 plants being taken.

The clash was filmed by one of her Sweaty Betty PR employees, and uploaded to Instagram for her followers to view.

‘You took my plants!’ Roxy said to the man as she stormed into the local shop in Sydney’s Paddington.

‘I know, I’m so sorry!’ the man said before Roxy snapped back: ‘Wouldn’t you knock on the door and ask?’

The perpetrator claimed he only took the fig trees from outside Roxy’s office as he believed they didn’t belong to anyone, because the plants were ‘outside for ages’.

‘But they were there for ages!’ the man explained, to which Roxy countered: ‘Because I was trying to water them and give them sun. So do you want to give me the plants back?!’

‘No words. And they weren’t even on the floor with a price – they were out the back for the perpetrators own home it would appear,’ Roxy captioned the video.

Hours earlier in another video shared to Instagram, Roxy sent a stern message to the thief, saying: ‘I’m absolutely disgusted that some pillock has stolen my fiddle leaf figs and left me with two f**king leaves.’

‘$900 and he’s picked them up and cleared off with them,’ she added.

‘I mean really, what’s next?! My doormat, Mason Brown (co-worker), Hunter (son)… for a price!?’ Roxy said in jest.

She went on to confirm the plants were like family and reiterated their exorbitant price tag.

Earlier in the video, Roxy told her son, Hunter, four, the two remaining leaves, which lay on the footpath, were ‘evidence’ in the case.

CCTV footage from the Sweaty Betty PR office showed a man, who was dressed in a grey sweater layered over a pair of pale jeans and a white T-shirt, walking off with one of the fiddle leaf fig trees.

Roxy shared the CCTV footage on Instagram with the caption: ‘What the actual F**K. This bloke just stole my fiddle leaf figs whilst I was giving them some sun and water?! Know the culprit? Comment below so I can go and collect them.’

In a separate post, Roxy revealed one of her Instagram followers alerted her to the fact the unidentified perpetrator is an employee of a nearby op shop in Paddington.

‘Can you believe it. I mean since when does the Red Cross retail fiddle leaf fig trees. Off I go to recover them,’ Roxy captioned the post.

The incident on Friday is just the latest in a string of attacks that have occurred since Roxy moved into 7-13 Elizabeth Street two years ago.

Less than two months ago, Roxy’s Sweaty Betty offices in Paddington were targeted again, when the words ‘Roxy is a c**t’ were spray-painted across the white building.

Police were called to Roxy’s offices after vandals egged the building and spray-painted obscenities across it and around other areas in the Eastern Suburbs area.

The use of CCTV around her offices seemingly has not deterred vandals.

In late April, Roxy was defiant following the vandalism with the PR maven hitting out at those responsible on her Instagram account.

‘Clearly [it] was in the hope of causing me some kind of humiliation or embarrassment,’ she said, characterising the actions of the vandals.

In 2017, the Sweaty Betty PR head office underwent a $1.4million renovation, complete with 27 workstations, three showrooms and a 12-person meeting room.
