Legendary fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, who rose to fame after creating his own luxury fashion house, has died at the age of 83.
Italian news agency ANSA reported that Cavalli died at his home in Florence after battling a long illness.
The designer leaves behind his wife, Swedish model Sandra Nilsson, who is 45 years his junior. The couple have been in a relationship since 2014.
Just one year before his tragic death, Cavalli became a dad for the sixth time at the age of 82, welcoming a son with his wife.
The fashion entrepreneur was famous for his love of animal prints, which he incorporated into many of his designs.
