Robert De Niro just left a scathing review of Donald Trump’s presidency.

The 76-year-old actor was being interviewed on CNN and said the POTUS ‘should not be President’.

‘The day after he was elected, I thought “I’ll give him a chance, you never know”,’ Robert said. ‘He is worse than I ever could have imagined.’

When the interviewer asked why De Niro is so anti-Trump, the actor responded: ‘I don’t know. I think he’s crazy in a way. Part of him is just crazy.

‘Possibly medically, too, I’m starting to think.

‘I mean, where are we? This is a crazy world. What is going on? This guy is crazy. We’ve got to get him out,’ he added.

De Niro’s comments come a day after the actor said he hoped Trump gets impeached.

The 45th president of the United States is currently being investigated by the Democratic Party, and the actor has admitted he thinks Trump is a ‘low life’.

‘I hope he gets impeached, it has to be followed through,’ the outspoken actor said. ‘He’s such a low life. He taints everybody around him.’

Speaking to Variety, he added: ‘It’s disgraceful with this guy.

‘He has no centre, no ethics, no morals. He’s amoral, immoral.’

Trump previously publicly blasted De Niro on his personal Twitter account in 2018.

After watching De Niro call Trump a ‘wannabe gangster’ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Trump tweeted called the actor a ‘very low IQ individual’.

‘I watched him last night and truly believe he may be “punch-drunk,”’ he wrote.

‘I guess he doesn’t realise the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country,’ the President added.

‘Wake up Punchy.’
