The crystal ball’s mist has cleared, the computer programme has been run… and Liverpool will be crowned the New Invincibles in May.
As an exercise in fortune-telling, I sat down this week and worked out how the Premier League’s top 10 will look at the end of the season if my forecasts for their remaining games are all accurate.
And Sav the Soothsayer says Jurgen Klopp will not just lead Liverpool to their first title in 30 years – they will romp it with a record 110 points.
Manchester City will trail home a distant 32 points back in the rear-view mirror, while Tottenham and Manchester United will miss out on the top four.
The scale of Liverpool’s dominance is almost frightening.
Have a look at my predicted top half of the table, as I think it will finish when the cards have fallen in May, and see if you agree…
Robbie Savage’s end-of-season top-10 prediction
Liverpool – 110 points (only two of the current top eight left to play)
Manchester City – 78pts (four of the top eight to play)
Leicester – 74pts (five of the top eight to play)
Chelsea – 66pts (six of the top eight to play)
Tottenham – 63pts (five of the top eight to play)
Manchester United – 61pts (five of the top eight to play)
Wolves – 60
Sheffield United – 54
Arsenal – 53
Everton – 52
Of course, I might be miles off with my predictions.
But of course, there’s a first time for everything!
