The teen drama follows the ongoing story of Archie Andrews (played by KJ Apa), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) who live in the small and once peaceful suburban town of Riverdale. The town’s tranquility was shaken when popular high school student and the brother of Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch), Jason’s body was found in Sweet Water River. Ever since then, there has been non-stop mysteries and murders which the four friends have been determined to solve.
What channel is Riverdale on?
Riverdale initially airs in the US on The CW every Wednesday at 8pm.
However, UK fans have to wait an extra day for the show to drop on streaming platform Netflix at 8am.
The previous three series are also still on the platform, so if you have never seen Riverdale, you can binge watch all of them at your leisure.

UK Fans wanting to watch the show can do so for free with a 30-day trial to Netflix.
After the trial is completed, there are a number of subscription plans which you can opt into to continue watching Netflix shows.
Viewers will be able to enjoy an expected 22 episodes this season.
The series kicked off with an emotional episode dedicated to the late Luke Perry who died earlier this year.

In the show, Luke (who plays Archie’s dad) dies in a hit-and-run after stopping at the side of the road to help a woman change her tyre.
The woman was actress Shannen Doherty who wanted to make a cameo appearance in the drama to pay tribute to her former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star.
A synopsis for the upcoming episode Dog Day Afternoon reads: “Things take a dangerous turn when Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Charles (guest star Wyatt Nash) track down Edgar (guest star Chad Michael Murray) and his Farmies. Archie and Veronica hold a car wash fundraiser at Pop’s to raise money for the community center.

“Elsewhere, Jughead’s first day at Stonewall Prep doesn’t go as planned. Lastly, Cheryl learns a dark family secret from Nana Rose.”
A promo was also released by The CW has showed Archie turning into a vigilante in a bid to safeguard Riverdale.
Riverdale’s Halloween episode will be aired in a couple of weeks’ time which will no doubt introduce even more gripping plot twists.
