Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick And Morty, is releasing a new VR game which seems to take the show’s signature humour into even weirder directions.

Trover Saves The Universe is the second game from Roiland’s publishing company Squanch Games, which will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR on 31 May. The game will also be released on PC on the Epic Game Store and Steam on 4 June.

A new trailer for the ‘bizarre comedy adventure’ game feels similar in tone to Rick And Morty, and sees players attempt to save your dog and the universe from a villain named Gorkin.

The studio previously released Accounting+ back in 2016, when the company was then called Squanchtendo.

It certainly looks promising for fans of Roiland’s work, and considering the VR Rick And Morty title, Virtual Rick-ality, was a surprising treat – we’re hopeful this will similarly be worthwhile.

Trover Saves The Universe releases on 31 May for PlayStation 4, PSVR, and on 4 June for PC.
