'Reverse nose contouring' is TikTok’s easiest beauty trend and works in seconds

As much as we love contouring, who really has the time to sculpt your whole face every morning? Especially as we start to return to the office, we want our makeup routines to be as simple as possible. Enter: reverse nose contouring.

The latest beauty trend to be blowing up on TikTok, reverse nose contouring is the easiest way to contour your nose – honestly it can be done in seconds. We’re not saying you need to contour your nose because we’re sure it’s beautiful just as it is but if you fancied trying this new social makeup trend, it’s super simple.

How do you reverse contour your nose?

Reverse contouring your nose means applying the contour colour all over your nose, blending it a little. Then you use your concealer and you put this in the areas that you would normally leave the lighter colour – so on the sides of your nose and down the centre. The final step is to blend, blend, blend until it looks like your regular (contoured) nose and that’s it! A contoured nose in less time than it takes to decide what you want to wear today.

TikTok user, @bexcxmpbel expertly demonstrates the method in the video below:

It’s not the first beauty trend TikTok has introduced us to this year. The video sharing app has told us to use powder before liquid foundation, made us all want to run to our hairdressers and request the ‘wolf cut’, told us to use fake tan as lip liner and revived the grunge beauty trend of the 2000s. At this stage, it’s become our new beauty bible.
