The October 31 Brexit date is fast approaching, and as of yet it still remains unclear if the UK will indeed leave the EU. Last week, MPs voted in favour of blocking a bill that would allow the UK to leave the EU without a deal. Moreover, Boris Johnson also lost a vote on bringing forward a snap election which has therefore increased the chances of a second referendum.
According to the Guardian, the People’s Vote is planning the “biggest tactical voting operation” seen in the country in order to secure a majority for a second public vote.
Armies of campaigners will be directed to key seats as part of the drive to secure a new vote.
Voters across the country will also be given guidance on which candidate they should back at the next election.
The campaign will reportedly endorse voters to back nine Liberal Democrats and Labour who are “best placed” to win their seats.
Such has been the funds and planning put towards the campaign that Lord Michael Heseltine, the former Tory Deputy Prime Minister has backed the campaign.
Lord Heseltine told The Observer: “This will be an election like none other in my lifetime.
“Brexit is prising loose the political allegiances of millions of people.
“Together, we can make sure in a new parliament there is a majority for solving this crisis.”

“The People’s Vote campaign have to get behind the people who launched the idea of a people’s vote.
“We were making the case in the face of total derision from some people who are now on board.
“People haven’t just potentially given up their careers to back it, but also done so at huge personal cost to their safety and that of their families.”
The news of the plan from the People’s Vote campaign comes as Mr Johnson insisted that he will bring back his motion to call a snap election on Monday.
In response, however, the opposition parties have announced that they will join together to either vote down or abstain against Mr Johnson’s motion.
The Prime Minister had originally intended to bring an election before October 31.
Attack the opposition parties, Mr Johnson warned that they were making an “extraordinary political mistake”.
Moreover, he argued that an election is the only thing that will allow the Government to “get on” with delivering Brexit by the end of October.
Adding that he intends to leave the EU promptly, Mr Johnson insisted that he would rather “die in a ditch” than seek another extension.
