Latin music producer Marco ‘Tainy’ Masís and music executive Lex Borrero have joined Rogue parent company ReKTGlobal as investors.
As co-owners of Rogue, Masís and Borrero will focus on growth in Latin America through “strategic partnerships” and streaming content.
ReKTGlobal’s other music industry investors include global entertainer Steve Aoki and rock band Imagine Dragons.
Global esports organization ReKTGlobal , the parent company of team Rogue , announced that reggaeton producer Marco “Tainy” Masís and award-winning music executive Lex Borrero have become investors.
Per the release, Masís and Borrero will use “strategic partnerships” to support the growth of ReKTGlobal and Rogue in Latin America. Both music professionals, now co-owners of Rogue, will work alongside the team’s players to create streaming content. In addition, they will build awareness for the Junior Rogue program, which educates Fortnite players under the age of 18 about esports careers.
“As a passionate gamer and supporter of Rogue, I’m excited to join ReKTGlobal as an investor,” Masís said in a release. “When I’m not in the studio, I’m gaming—playing everything from League of Legends, NBA 2K , and Final Fantasy to Gears of War, whose soundtrack I’m currently working on, in addition to my own album.”
The organizations’ other music industry investors include DJ and global performer Steve Aoki, members of the rock band Imagine Dragons and its manager Mac Reynolds, Live Nation, Maverick Management partner Larry Rudolph, 1916 Management founder Jonny Gordon, and Ozone Entertainment founder Bret Disend.
