Real Madrid have won the race to sign Brazil defender Eder Militao from Porto, according to reports in Spain.
Manchester United had been linked with a move for the Brazil international during January but it appears that the 21-year-old is on the verge of a move to Spain.
According to Marca , Real have acted quickly to tie up a deal for Militao having agreed a deal with Porto and are only waiting on the player’s signature before making the transfer public.
Militao joined Porto from Sao Paulo last summer and has become a mainstay in the Portuguese side’s defence, starring in the club’s run to the Champions League Round of 16.

The 21-year-old, whose father Valdo played for Corinthians, received his first call-up to the senior Brazil squad in September and has won one cap.
Militao is comfortable playing either at right-back or in the centre of defence and also been deployed as a defensive midfielder.
Former United manager Jose Mourinho had made signing a new centre-back a priority, however, the club chose not to enter the transfer market last month after the Portuguese was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
