New deal for Zlatan?

LA Galaxy are preparing to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new contract.

The Sweden legend’s current deal is set to expire next month and he’ll be free to join another club on a free transfer.

Manchester United, Boca Juniors, Bologna and even Real Madrid have been linked with the 38-year-old in recent weeks.

However, Nicolo Schira claims the MLS side will try their luck at extending his stay for another 12 months.

“LA Galaxy are working to renewing the contract of Ibrahimovic for another year. Zlatan will make a decision about his future in a month,” Schira tweeted.

Zinedine Zidane wishlist

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has compiled a five-man wishlist for the January transfer window.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who claim the French tactician no longer wants Isco or James Rodriguez at the Bernabeu.

Isco, 27, has started just two La Liga fixtures this season, while Colombian attacker Rodriguez has started four of a possible 13 domestic matches.

It’s claimed Manchester United’s Paul Pogba is the priority target, with Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, Fabian Ruiz and Donny van de Beek also on the list.

Neymar valuation

Paris Saint-Germain will allow Barcelona and Real Madrid transfer target Neymar to leave the club if they receive a bid of £258million, according to reports.

The Brazil international came close to leaving the Parc des Princes back in the summer after making it known he wanted to leave French football behind.

PSG have insisted that Neymar is not for sale despite talk of a return to La Liga continuing to rumble on.

Yet Spanish newspaper Marca claim the Ligue 1 titans are willing to let their talisman go should they receive an offer of £258m.

That is £58m more than what PSG paid for the Samba star during the 2017 summer transfer window.

The draw…

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been kept apart in the semi-final draw for the new-look Spanish Super Cup, which will be held for the first time in Saudi Arabia in January.

The traditional two-legged clash between the reigning La Liga and Copa del Rey winners at the start of each Spanish season has been revamped and will now feature four teams and be played mid-season.

In the semi-final draw for the inaugural tournament, LaLiga champions and current leaders Barcelona were paired against Atletico Madrid in a match that will take place on January 9 at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, will face Copa del Rey holders Valencia in the first semi-final at the same venue the day before.

The final will be held on Sunday, January 12. Saudi Arabia will stage the Super Cup for the next three years.
