Raquel Welch: ‘Nice to be noticed’ Actress, 79, speaks out on having a ‘low profile’


“Both made a huge difference to my career,” she acknowledged. “Overnight, I found myself in demand.”

Raquel continued: “Before that I was not much more than an extra.”

“In Roustabout, I don’t even think I was mentioned in the credits, but I was in it and very excited to be working in the same movie as Elvis.”

Raquel went on to win a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy in 1974 for her performance in The Three Musketeers.
