A TOP doc has blasted T.I. after he revealed he takes his daughter on an annual checkup to confirm her hymen isn’t broken.
Dr Jennifer Gunter, a gynaecologist known for dispelling vaginal myths, branded it “disgusting” and said it won’t prove if she’s had sex.
The music star, 39, horrified fans when he made the shocking revelation about his eldest child, Deyjah Harris, 18, on the Ladies Like Us podcast this week.
He said: “Usually like the day after the party, she’s enjoying her gifts. I put a sticky note on the door: ‘Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.’
“So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism, he’s like, ‘Well, you know sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this … so we can share information.
“‘Is there anything you would not want me to know?’ ‘See doc? No problem.'”

He continued: “So then they come and say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity.’
“So I say, ‘Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.'”
‘Horrible on so many levels’
But Dr Gunter described his comments as “horrible on so many levels” before launching into an explanation on what the hymen actually is.
In a Twitter thread she said: “The hymen is a left over collection of cells that typically partially occludes the vaginal opening.
“Many mammals have hymen. Humans, dogs, cats, camels, elephants etc. if this were for marriage/a social construct of virginity then other mammals would not have them.
“The hymen is more rigid at birth and provides more covering for the first three years to keep urine and faeces out of the infant vagina, which lacks oestrogen so is very sensitive to irritants.

“When most children become continent coincides with the time the hymen starts to take on different shapes and flexibility because evolution no longer cares.
“Yes, the hymen is like baby teeth. It served a biological purpose for a narrow developmental window and then when no longer needed is discarded.
“The hymen is no virginity indicator, 50 per cent of sexually active teens do not have a disrupted hymen. The hymen is often very flexible.”
Dr Gunter added that two thirds of women don’t experience pain or bleed the first time they have sex – and for those that do it is usually spotting.
“The hymen does not have a rich blood supply,” she added. “Blood stained sheets come from sexual trauma.”
She concluded: “The hymen means nothing physically and hymen exams are medically not a thing and are unnecessary.
“And support a disgusting patriarchal trope.”
Defensive
Defending his actions, T.I. insisted that he believes many wished their parents had been more protective of them.
“I think that most kids in hindsight, looking back, they always thank their parents for not allowing them to damage themselves as much as they could have,” he said.
When the hosts told the US star that men would be like vultures around Deyjah, he responded: “[Virgins] no fun. Who wants a virgin? Like really? All that work.”
Commenting on social media about his admission, one person wrote: “TI is so f***ing weird and disgusting to do that to his daughter. It’s invasive as well”.
“Bro, what?! Worth noting, Deyjah is 18. His sons aren’t virgins,” another penned. “He wants his daughters to stay virgins as long as possible, while noting that he feels other guys feels being virgins will make them less desirable.”
The rapper is also dad to Messiah, 19, and Domani, 18, with ex Lashon Dixon and Clifford (King), 15, Major, 11, and three-year-old Heiress with wife Tiny, as well as being stepdad to Tiny’s 23-year-old daughter Zonnique.
