Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness wows the crowd as he opens SOLD OUT Perth stand-up show with an impressive gymnastics floor routine
Jonathan Van Ness is touring Australia for the very first time as part of his Road to Beijing stand-up circuit this month.
And the Queer Eye star certainly kicked off his Perth show at the Riverside Theatre with a bang on Tuesday.
The American TV personality and comedian, 32, treated the sold-out audience to an impressive gymnastics routine in a red leotard with diamantes.

Hours before taking to the stage, he hinted at the performance on Twitter: ‘Not sure if a stand-up comedian has ever opened their show with a gymnastics routine. See you tonite (sic) Perth!’
Footage from the audience showed Jonathan performing front flips, back flips and the splits as the crowd roared with applause.
The celebrity hairdresser wore a red leotard with blue stars and diamantes, while also wearing skin-tone leggings over his legs.
Jonathan placed his signature long locks into a tidy plait, as he worked up a sweat during the show’s opening number.

Jonathan’s Road to Beijing show is reportedly inspired by his ongoing attempt and ‘lifelong obsession’ to become a figure-skating prodigy for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
The hair stylist-turned-global-TV star has a huge passion for figure skating and is often sharing videos of himself training on the ice to Instagram.
Jonathan is best known for starring in web series Gay of Thrones and reality show Queer Eye – where he stars as a grooming expert alongside the rest of the ‘Fab Five’; Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown and Bobby Berk.
Queer Eye was rebooted by Netflix in 2019 and has been a huge success among fans, with the show recently being renewed for a fifth season.
