Queen star Roger Taylor reveals 'SECRETS' of drumming in new video – WATCH

Unlike other major concert tours which have had to cancel dates amid the global pandemic, Queen + Adam Lambert managed to complete the latest leg of theirs. Of course, the band’s UK and European tour set to start in late May is now in doubt. But in the meantime, Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor have been cheering up fans with micro-concert videos on their Instagram pages.

May kicked things off with guitar solos last week and now Taylor has followed suit.

The Queen drummer’s spin is to give budding musicians some mini-lessons with little known tips.

Yesterday, he introduced his new series of videos with secrets of the snare drum.

The 70-year-old said: “Hi, I knew there must be a lot of very bored young aspiring drummers out there.”

So far, Queen guitarist Brian May has shared five of his micro-concerts.

The latest saw a rendition of his famous solo Last Horizon, which he plays at every concert.

The 72-year-old admitted to feeling “anger at the timid and slow way the pandemic has been handled,” adding: “But anger gets me nowhere.

“We just have to smile and live another day to the full.”

So far the only future date on Queen and Adam Lambert’s Rhapsody Tour to be postponed is Paris, France on May 26.

Oddly, the first day of the new tour leg taking place in Bologna, Italy two days before still hasn’t been cancelled.

This seems surprising considering how badly hit by coronavirus the country is.

No doubt decisions on the rest of the tour will be made in the coming weeks.
