The season-ending PUBG Global Championship for PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS will take place in Oakland this November, PUBG Corporation announced this past weekend.

The Global Championship will hold the group stage and semifinals in Los Angeles earlier in the month before moving to Oakland for the finals on Nov. 23-24. PUBG Corp. has not yet announced a venue for Oakland, although the earlier rounds will take place at the OGN Super Arena in Los Angeles.

The PUBG Global Championship will feature 32 teams from all across the various regional PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS leagues, including the North American National PUBG League (NPL) and the PUBG Korea League (PKL). The base $2M prize pool will be expanded via the sale of in-game items related to the event.

PUBG Corp. confirmed the Global Championship details during this past weekend’s PUBG Nations Cup in Seoul, South Korea, which featured 16 national teams competing for a share of the $500K prize pool.

The Esports Observer was onsite for the event, and will be sharing feature articles in the coming days based on our interviews with PUBG Corp. representatives.
