The hooligans, who are banned from all men’s and youth games involving the French club, had earlier caused criminal damage at the stadium on arrival.

They also allegedly sprayed graffiti around the ground, also known as Kingsmeadow.

According to BBC Radio 5Live reporter Jacqui Oatley, 45 police officers were forced to deal with a coach load of fans ahead of the Champions League clash.

BOX OF KNIVES FOUND

A knuckleduster, a box of knives and drugs were discovered on the vehicle.

The fans also caused damage to the ground earlier in the day before heading into town.

Met Police told SunSport: “At approximately 08:00hrs on Thursday, 21 March police were called to reports of a group of Paris St Germain (PSG) supporters causing criminal damage at Kingsmeadow Stadium in Kingston.

“Officers attended but all those involved had left the scene.

“Later in the day, officers were made aware of sporadic instances of disorder involving PSG supporters at both Waterloo and Wimbledon stations.

“Those involved were identified and when they attended Kingsmeadow Stadium this evening they were stopped.

“A coach they travelled in was searched and weapons, including knives and knuckle dusters, were recovered along with class A drugs.

“One man from the coach was arrested for possession of class A drugs and the remaining passengers were escorted from the area by police.

“Enquiries continue.”

The incident will come as a bitter blow to the women’s game, and a sad continuation of trouble between the two clubs.

Back in 2015, Chelsea fans were caught on video pushing a black man off a Paris metro train before their men’s Champions League game against the French giants.

SunSport has contacted the Met Police for comment.

One interested spectator at the game is Chelsea’s star defender David Luiz, who SunSport reported has recently got engaged.

He posted a video onto social media of him on the pitch, with a message of support for the Chelsea Women.

He said: “Good luck girls tonight, and we are going to be here supporting you guys because it’s going to be a great night.”
