Priyanka Chopra has hit back at rumours that she fell out with BFF Meghan Markle aka Duchess of Sussex.
Let’s all calm down now.
The Baywatch actress was not at Meghan’s baby shower in New York last month, and according to reports, it was because Prince Harry’s heavily pregnant wife did not attend Priyanka’s lavish wedding to Nick Jonas in December.
But the Isn’t It Romantic actress has finally set the record straight about their ‘beef’, insisting that news of their ‘feud’ is simply ‘not true’.
The 36-year-old is currently penning a book and was across the country, and far too tied down with work commitments to be able to attend the royal baby shower with Meghan’s other famous friends Amal Clooney and Serena Williams.
During an appearance on US chat show Watch What Happens Live! on Friday night, Priyanka addressed the rumours that the besties were no longer speaking.
A fan who called into the show asked: ‘Priyanka, are the rumours true that you were upset that Meghan Markle skipped your wedding to Nick Jonas?’
Host Andy Cohen added some context in case anyone watched it missed it: ‘They said you didn’t go to her baby shower because you were p***ed at her.’
Priyanka chuckled and laughed off the rumours, by saying: ‘Oh my God. No, it’s not true.’
Well, there’s that then.
It was initially reported that Priyanka declined Meghan’s invite after being ‘crushed’ when the duchess skipped her massive wedding in India.
Understandably, Meghan has some royal duties to attend to these days.
Page Six reported that Priyanka wanted an apology from Meghan and felt that the new royal ‘didn’t respect their friendship’.
E! also reported earlier this week that the pair still chat to each other often and their relationship has not changed.
The insider said: ‘All the rumours that Priyanka and Meghan aren’t friends anymore are totally not true.
‘Priyanka and Meghan are still very close friends and they talk frequently. Meghan confides in Priyanka about the adjustments she has to make with being a royal.’
There we go. No trouble in paradise.
