Princess Beatrice to wed Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi: Royal wears £595 dress from Aussie brand Zimmerman in official engagement photos

Princess Beatrice has announced she is engaged to her real estate mogul boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The warm and colourful engagement photos, which were taken by Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, show Beatrice and Edoardo embracing; Beatrice looking radiant wearing a green long-sleeved floral dress, a bouncing blow-out and a fresh dusting of diamonds on her ring finger.

The gorgeous dark mint green linen dress is by Australian brand Zimmerman, and is printed with feminine blooms in hues of cherry and peach. The ‘Allia’ dress costs £595.00, and is currently available in most sizes online (shop it here).

With puffed shoulders and a flowy, ankle-skimming skirt, it’s a refreshingly summery and relaxed choice for such official photo.

It’s also an unusual choice for a British royal to wear an Australian brand.

Beatrice’s sister Eugenie wore a black floral dress by British designer Erdem for her engagement photos, Kate Middleton chose a navy wrap dress from London-based brand Issa, and even Meghan Markle opted for a semi-sheer gown from British couturiers Ralph & Russo for hers.

The picture was taken recently in Italy by Princess Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie (PA)

At £595, Beatrice’s dress costs approximately one hundredth of the dress Meghan chose, which reportedly cost the Suits star £56,000.
